Prof. Dr. Benjamin Gantenbein specializes in musculoskeletal tissues, including bone and joints, with a particular emphasis on progenitor cells and biomaterials for tissue engineering strategies.

PD Dr. Amiq Gazdhar investigates induced pluripotent stem cells and hybrid EVs.

Dr. Ali Hashemi Ghenani focuses on EVs and their potential in biomarker discovery, particularly for urological conditions. By combining AI-driven multi-omics analysis with clinical data, he aims to identify precise biomarkers for personalized diagnostics and therapies.

Prof. Dr. Deborah Keogh- Stroka studies the role of EVs in cholestatic liver diseases.

Prof. Dr. Paola Luciani is an expert in EV isolation and characterization, EV-mimetics, EV hybrids and researches EVs as therapeutics.

Prof. Dr. Katia Monastyrskaya- Stäuber focusses on the non-cancerous diseases of the lower urinary tract caused by benign prostatic obstruction and neurologic disorders.

Prof. Dr. Andreina Schoeberlein has expertise in EV isolation from cell culture supernatant, miRNA cargo and gene ontology analysis and intranasal application in neonatal rodent models.

Dr. Cristina Zivko researches lipid-based antifibrotic formulations and their effect on hepatic EVs and EVs in 3D neuronal organoid models from patient samples. She focuses on intercellular communication and precision medicine, aiming to develop personalized diagnostics and targeted therapies.
